Purpose:

To provide an update on the financial position for the East Midlands Building Consultancy (EMBC) and Newark and Sherwood District Council and the ongoing building control work.

Decision:

AGREED that:

 

(a)      The report be noted; and

 

(b)      To continue with East Midlands Building Consultancy operating the building control service for the Council for a period of 3-years with a review after 2-years.

Reasons for the decision:

To provide a sustainable Building Control service in partnership with South Kesteven District Council and Rushcliffe Borough Council.
